Published anonymously within a year of the events it describes, this account was one of dozens of hastily printed reactions to the rising — most were pamphlets of a few gatherings; this is an unusually substantial folio treatment, running to over two hundred leaves.
The binding is a later half calf, almost certainly from the early nineteenth century, and the title page carries an old ownership signature that has not yet been identified. The text block shows occasional browning consistent with the period paper stock, but no significant losses.
